Preparing Pilots When—and Where—It Matters Most

Interview Workshop Map

More than 14,000 of ALPA’s members currently fly for regional airlines, and many of these pilots seek to continue their career by moving to a mainline carrier. This is why ALPA developed its Interview Workshop—to help our pilots prepare for the entire hiring process when their time comes. By partnering with the leading interview preparation consultants in the industry, we are able to offer interview prep workshops to our members at no cost.

Recently, one of these events was held in Palm Springs, Calif., immediately prior to one of the biggest airline pilot job fairs of the year. ALPA pilots received last-minute tips, advice, and confidence to put on their best face and take the first (or next) step toward a new job.

At these one-day events, consultants from Cage Marshall Consulting work with pilots to point out important areas of focus, highlight potential stumbling blocks, and reinforce ways to ensure a positive process. Combined with a resume review and last-minute encouragement, it is the perfect way to prepare for a job fair, interview, or other hiring event.

ALPA is dedicated to advancing the future of our profession, and these free workshops provide valuable assistance to pilots who are ready to advance their career. Several Interview Workshops have already been scheduled for 2017, and registration is open now for sessions this month near Washington Dulles Airport and next month at the Women in Aviation Conference in Orlando.
