Join ALPA for a Discussion on Better Ideas for Air Cargo Safety and Security

The all-cargo airline environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and faces numerous unique risk-management challenges. On November 5, ALPA is hosting a one-day Air Cargo Symposium, “Outside the Box: Better Ideas for Air Cargo Safety and Security,” where we will explore ways to improve safety and security for this vital segment of the transportation industry.

FAA Administrator Michael Huerta, National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Chris Hart, and experts from across government and industry will join ALPA president Capt. Tim Canoll and First Vice President and National Safety Coordinator Capt. Joe DePete to discuss and identify best practices for advancing cargo safety and security.

Throughout the day, panels composed of leading voices from multiple industry segments will focus on important issues facing the air cargo industry. Discussions will range from risk mitigation to the shipment of hazardous materials, advancing human performance factors in cargo’s demanding operating environment, and enhancing airport infrastructure to best meet the needs of this vital segment of the airline industry.

Join us next week and learn more about how collaborative and innovative efforts can increase safety and productivity within the all-cargo environment. Visit alpa.org and register today.
