Up to $200 in Wellness Benefits for your family
If you are covered by Critical Illness or Accident Insurance, you are also eligible for the Wellness Benefit. This provides an annual benefit payment if you complete a health screening test. You may only receive a benefit payment once per year; even if you complete multiple health screening tests. This benefit is designed to encourage maintaining a healthy lifestyle by screening for a range of potential illnesses and diseases.
Covered members and spouses receive $100 each for completing a screening, and covered children may receive $50 each. There is a total annual maximum of $200 in Wellness Benefit reimbursements for your family.
Apprentices – No-cost to you coverage.
Did you know that during apprentices’ first year of membership, the ALPA VEBA Trust sponsors Critical Illness Insurance coverage up to a $10,000 maximum critical illness benefit, at no cost to you? Then, rolling into your second year, the ALPA VEBA Trust splits the cost of this valuable coverage by 50% with you. Plus, optional dependent coverage is available for your spouse and children.
This is a summary of benefits only. A complete description of benefits, limitations, exclusions and termination of coverage will be provided in the certificate of insurance and riders. All coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the group policy. If there is any discrepancy between this document and the group policy documents, the policy documents will govern.
