Pilots of ALPA 2024

Thanks to the growth of the North American airline industry and multiple pilot groups actively seeking the Association’s representation, ALPA remains the world’s largest and most influential pilot union—representing more than 77,000 members at 43 U.S. and Canadian airlines.

ALPA members fly scheduled passenger, charter, and cargo flights and belong to groups ranging from approximately 17,000 pilots to those with fewer than 100. And despite these operational differences, they have much in common. The Association’s members are highly trained pilots who safely transport their passengers and cargo to destinations around the globe, and their skills and professionalism help contribute to their carriers’ successes.

Click the button below to learn how ALPA’s pilot groups have navigated the challenges of the postpandemic airline industry—including proposed airline mergers, scheduling concerns, and difficult managements—and remain unified in their quest for the industry-leading contract enhancements they’ve earned.
