			<title>Operations at Remote Airports Conference</title>

This conference will provide an interactive, open discussion forum to explore safety and related issues that arise when conducting air carrier operations at airports in the high Arctic and similarly remote locations.  Airport infrastructure issues, operational considerations, human factors limitations, and the changing regulatory and legislative environment, along with other pertinent topics, will be discussed.&lt;br /&gt;</description>

			<title>Advanced Accident Investigation Course (AI-3)</title>

The course will run from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day. Participants should be prepared to attend the three-day training in its entirety. The AI-3 will run until approximately 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, but students are encouraged to participate in an altitude chamber flight or an ATC facility tour/demo Thursday afternoon (if scheduling permits), hosted by UND respective CASC or CAI. 			<title>Basic Safety School (BSS)</title>

Basic Safety School (BSS) consists of two individual modules in the safety-training curriculum: Safety One (SA-1) and Accident/Incident Investigation One (AI-1). Please note that the course is designed to assist new air safety representatives including: Central Air Safety Chairmen (CASC), Local Air Safety Chairmen (LASC), and Accident/Incident Investigators in identifying and carrying out their responsibilities to their own Master Executive Council. &lt;i&gt;Prerequisites: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman and/or MEC Chairman prior to registration. 			<title>Airport Safety Liaison (ASL) Training Course [with BSS]</title>

The Airport Safety Liaison (ASL) training course is part of a three-day curriculum that includes Basic Safety School (BSS). It provides pilot volunteers with a basic understanding of the ASL’s role and assists new ASLs in identifying and carrying out their responsibilities at their assigned airports. Prerequisites: ALPA Members must have prior approval from the AGE Group Chairman to become an ASL for a specific airport and completed the Air Safety Organization (ASO) approval process. Additional Prerequisites: Member must have completed the ALPA BSS and received approval of a candidate’s MEC Central Air Safety Chairman (CASC) and/or MEC Chairman. 			<title>Security Training Course (STC)</title>

The Security Training Course (STC) is a two-day curriculum that provides pilot volunteers with an introduction to ALPA policies, protocols, and guidance on how to serve as an MEC security representative. It is administered by ALPA’s Air Safety Organization (ASO) and runs concurrent with ALPA’s Basic Safety School (BSS). The first day’s curriculum brings together students from the security and safety disciplines for training that is designed to help them understand how to best function within the ALPA environment. On the second day, STC students break out for specific training in handling security issues at the MEC level.
