A longtime ALPA volunteer, Capt. Bill Schild has played a critical role in advancing risk-based aviation security at his pilot group and across the airline industry. Schild has also gone above and beyond to ensure that aviation security remains a priority among his many airline and government contacts.

A FedEx Express captain, Schild serves on ALPA’s Cargo Committee and represents the union on industry bodies including the Transportation Security Administration’s Aviation Security Advisory Committee Cargo Subcommittee and the Federal Flight Deck Officer stakeholder group. A dedicated volunteer, Schild consistently offers his vast expertise in support of ALPA’s security work.
