Welcome to the Air Line Pilots Association, International!

On May 12, 2017, the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) announced that a strong majority (62 percent in favour, of 97 percent eligible to vote) of you voted for ALPA representation. Congratulations to you, and congratulations on the hard work of the WestJet ALPA Organizing Committee, which ran a positive campaign and stuck to the facts.

The CIRB approved the election results on May 12, and issued the certification order, making ALPA the exclusive bargaining agent for the WestJet pilots. For those of you who filled out a membership card during the representation election, you are now officially ALPA members. Congratulations! Please make sure we have all of the correct information for you on file by filling out the demographic form. For those of you who did not fill out a card, please fill out an ALPA membership application.

*Both of these forms require the ADOBE PDF viewer. See instructions for how to use it on your phone or tablet if you have any issues.

The interim representatives are authorized to begin ALPA work on behalf of the pilot group. Their main objectives will be to run the membership drive and begin building the infrastructure of a strong union for your pilot group. In approximately 60 days, all the WestJet pilots who are ALPA members will be able to vote for your chosen leaders in democratic elections.

Once the CIRB issues the certification order, ALPA will be in touch with more information, including the simple steps for completing ALPA's membership application.

The WestJet pilots proved it is indeed your time! And now It's Time for all WestJet pilots to get to work and make your voices heard. It's great to have you on board.
