FedEx Pilots Respond to Fiscal Fourth-Quarter Earnings

MEMPHIS—FedEx pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), responded to the company’s fourth-quarter financials. On an earnings call earlier today, the company reported better-than-expected revenue, and recently announced a 53 percent increase in dividend payout. Capt. Chris Norman, chair of ALPA’s FedEx pilot group, issued the following statement in response:

“Now is the time for FedEx management to recognize pilot contributions to the company’s overall success with a new contract. Throughout the pandemic, FedEx pilots have been working tirelessly, flying across the globe to keep the world moving and economy intact while helping our company remain profitable. FedEx pilots have a proven track record of excellence, dedication, and unparalleled performance that needs to be recognized. The future success of FedEx depends on an industry-leading pilot contract now.”
