Alaska Airlines Pilots Evaluate Announced Merger with Hawaiian Airlines
SEATTLE –Today, Alaska Airlines announced an agreement to combine with Hawaiian Airlines. The Alaska Airlines Master Executive Council (ALA MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) is evaluating the business case for this merger and what it may mean for pilots of both Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines as well as our passengers and other stakeholders.
The Alaska Airlines MEC looks forward to building on our strong, existing relationship with our ALPA colleagues at Hawaiian Airlines, and working toward a bright and productive future as a single, unified pilot group.
Founded in 1931, ALPA is the world’s largest pilot union, representing more than 77,000 pilots at 43 airlines in the United States and Canada. Visit the ALPA website at alpa.org or follow us on Twitter @ALPAPilots and @ALPACanada.
