Transportation Trades Department Elects New Officers

McLean, VA—Capt. Joe DePete, president of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), issued the following statement today after the Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO (TTD) elected Greg Regan as president and Shari Semelsberger as secretary-treasurer:

“ALPA congratulates Greg and Shari on their new roles leading TTD’s efforts to protect middle-class jobs, expand collective bargaining, and ensure modern, safe, and secure transportation operations and infrastructure.

“Through my role on TTD’s Executive Committee, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Greg and Shari for years and am confident that under their leadership, we will make many advancements together. ALPA and TTD are resolute in our commitment to protecting workers and continuing to safely move America. We look forward to this continued successful partnership as we collectively advance the important transportation issues facing our country today.”
