Nationwide Coverage on Massive Middle East Subsidies
This week, news media from across the country reported on the massive subsidies Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, and Emirates Airline receive from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar governments. The coverage was generated when ALPA, along with The Partnership for Open & Fair Skies, filed a report highlighting the massive government subsidies in the form of equity infusions, interest-free loans, grants, airport fee exemptions, and new infrastructure.
