Delta MEC Chairman

Ryan Schnitzler

Captain Schnitzler is a NYC-based B-737 pilot at Delta Air Lines. He has worked for several airlines and came to Delta from DHL in 2007. He has been very involved in ALPA, most recently serving as the Delta MEC vice chairman and previously serving on the Delta MEC Contract Administration Committee and as the Council 108 vice chairman.

Captain Schnitzler has a Bachelor of Aviation Management from The Union Institute & University. He lives in Alexandria, Ky., with his wife Laura and two sons.


Delta MEC Vice-Chairman

Jon Payne

First Officer Jon Payne is an ATL-based A320 pilot at Delta Air Lines. He was hired by Delta in 2000 and has been an active member of ALPA, serving as a Council 44 local strike committee volunteer, After Hours Support Network volunteer, Council 44 secretary/treasurer and most recently the Council 44 first officer representative.

First Officer Payne earned a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering, Master of History and Master of Strategic Studies. He lives in Montgomery, Ala., with his wife, son and daughter.

Jason Ambrosi

Captain Jason Ambrosi is an ATL-based MD88/90 pilot at Delta Air Lines. He began his aviation career at Atlantic Southeast Airlines and was hired by Delta in 2000. Most recently serving as the Membership Committee chairman and Strategic Planning vice chairman, he’s also served as the Council 44 second officer representative.

Captain Ambrosi has a Bachelor of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He lives in Griffin, Ga., with his wife and daughter.

Delta MEC Treasurer

Tom Bell

Captain Bell is a Detroit-based A330 pilot at Delta Air Lines. His aviation career began in 1986 at Republic Airlines before being hired by Northwest. He most recently served as the ALPA Delta MEC Treasurer, resuming his role for a second term, and his previous involvement includes two terms as Council 20 secretary-treasurer and served more than four years as a member of the Professional Standards Committee.

Captain Bell has a business degree from South Florida State College and served our country as an Army Airborne Ranger. He lives in Brookfield, Wisc., and has seven children and three grandchildren.
