Piedmont Airlines Master Executive Council Elects Officers

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—The Piedmont Airlines Master Executive Council (PDT MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) has elected officers for a new two-year term that begins February 24, 2019. The PDT MEC chose their leadership team at their first quarter meeting, held in Charlotte, N.C. The new officer team is Bruce Freedman, chairman; Kevin McKeon, vice chairman; and Peter Nakhoul, secretary-treasurer.

Capt. Bruce Freedman

Capt. Freedman was reelected to a fifth term as MEC chairman. Capt. Freedman is an E145 captain based at Philadelphia International Airport who has flown for Piedmont for the past 36 years. He lives in Randolph, Mass., and has previously served in a number of union leadership roles, both at the MEC and Local Executive Council (LEC) level, including chairman of the Allegheny Airlines MEC.

Capt. Kevin McKeon

Capt. McKeon was elected MEC vice chairman. He replaces Capt. Allyson Geiger, who will remain on the MEC as vice chairman of PDT Local Executive Council 35. Capt. McKeon has worked at Piedmont since 2016. A Philadelphia-based E145 captain, he currently serves his fellow ALPA pilots as vice chairman of the PDT Scheduling Committee. He lives in Center Moriches, N.Y.

Capt. Peter Nakhoul

Capt. Nakhoul was reelected to a record ninth term as MEC secretary-treasurer. An E145 captain based in Philadelphia, Capt. Nakhoul lives in Enola, Pa., and has worked at Piedmont for 34 years. His previous union work includes service as PDT LEC 95 secretary-treasurer.
