ALPA Joins Open Letter to President Trump Calling to Enforce U.S. Trade Deals

ALPA joined its Partnership for Open & Fair Skies coalition allies today in signing an open letter to President Trump and his administration published in The New York Times and the New York Post calling on the administration to address trade violations by the United Arab Emirates and Qatar that threaten U.S. jobs. As Emirates begins this week new flights from Athens, Greece, to Newark, New Jersey, the ads highlight the more than $50 billion in subsidies that the UAE and Qatar have given to their state-owned airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways, in violation of the U.S. Open Skies agreement.
