PBS Scheduling Workshop

ALPA’s Economic & Financial Analysis Department and Flight Time/Duty Time Committee are pleased to announce the first-ever ALPA Preferential Bidding System (PBS) Scheduling Workshop. The three-day event will provide a unique opportunity for PBS experts from all ALPA groups to interact and discuss the full range of PBS topics, including current/best practices, technical matters, applications (such as planning parameters, optimization, and administrator/planner interface functions and practices), PBS contract language support, and the implementation of PBS systems.
Please note, this will be a union-only function with no company or vendor participation.
The workshop will begin at noon on Tuesday, October 3, with a planned ending at noon on Thursday, October 5. Full daily schedule TBD.

Expenses and Lodging
Lunch will be provided each day with breakfast and dinner at your discretion. Your pilot group’s Master Executive Council budget is responsible for all other travel expenses (travel, lodging, meals, and flight pay loss); please confirm your plan to attend with your appropriate officer(s).
We are currently working on a lodging facility and will forward that information once we have that secured.
Scheduling Workshop Series
The PBS Scheduling Workshop is the first in an ongoing series of topical workshops, the vision for which began several years ago and was further reinforced from member feedback after last year’s Scheduling Conference. We look forward to collaborating with all our scheduling experts at the PBS Workshop and future workshops in areas such as scheduling production and daily operations.
