2022 ALPA-PAC Awards

On Tuesday, October 18, during the plenary session of ALPA’s 49th Board of Directors meeting, ALPA recognized milestones in member involvement in the union’s political action committee, ALPA-PAC. The PAC is a vital tool that enables the union to represent airline pilot interests and priorities to U.S. federal policymakers.
J.J. O’Donnell Trophy for Excellence in Political Action
The 2022 J.J. O’Donnell Trophy for Excellence in Political Action was presented to the Frontier MEC for having the greatest level of contributions and commitment to the PAC. The attending members posed for a photo with ALPA president Capt. Joe DePete on the main stage.
ALPA-PAC 100% Campaign
Other ALPA-PAC accolades included a recognition of the Master Executive Councils with 100 percent PAC participation among their elected officials.

Key Society
Finally, 24 of the union’s local councils joined the ALPA-PAC Key Society for their PAC participation. Inaugurated in 2012 in honor of the 24 brave pilots who founded our union more than 90 years ago, this honor recognizes the 24 ALPA local councils with the top PAC performance.
The LEC with the highest rate of member involvement was DAL Council #48 in Atlanta.
