ALPA Promotes Safety, Security Measures to Canadian Government

December 11, 2009 - Representatives from ALPA’s safety and security committees, as well as the Engineering and Air Safety Department, met in Ottawa with senior leadership from Transport Canada, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). These meetings are part of ALPA’s continuing outreach efforts to maintain a good working relationship between senior members of the ALPA structures and their counterparts in government. In addition, this was an opportunity to formally welcome Mr. Martin Eley, the recently named Director General of Civil Aviation in Canada into his position and offer ALPA’s services as a resource.
