imageKCM to Start at BOS—Six More Airlines Added to Program
October 20, 2011 - The Known Crewmember (KCM) program—a joint undertaking of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l, and the Air Transport Association to provide enhanced security screening for flightcrew members—is set to start operations at the seventh and final test location, Boston-Logan Int’l Airport. Five KCM access points at BOS are scheduled to begin admitting pilots on Tuesday, October 25th. KCM was previously installed, and is operational, at Chicago O’Hare, Miami, Seattle-Tacoma, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Phoenix, and Washington Dulles airports.

Six additional airlines have joined KCM over the past two weeks—Chautauqua, Frontier, Republic, Shuttle America, SkyWest, and Sun Country—bringing the total to 28 airline participants. Pilots who fly for one of those six airlines will be able to use KCM at any of the seven test airports starting October 25th.
