September 11, 2011 - Under beautiful sunny skies, more than 200 pilots, families and ALPA staff attended the Association’s 9-11 ceremony honoring the fallen flight crews of the four airliners that were used in a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. The event took place in ALPA’s 9-11 Memorial Garden erected in 2006 in Herndon, Virginia.
